Ms. Westafer’s Environmental Science Class Traveled to Sandy Springs

Ms. Westafer’s Environmental Science students traveled to Sandy Springs last week to investigate the impact forests have on our water quality. They took soil samples, studied cattails, learned about different turtles in the area, and evaluated the water quality by identifying macro invertebrates. Jerry Hightower and his volunteers were amazing! Thank you Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and the National Park Service for letting LCHS students enjoy the beauty of the Chattahoochee and the surrounding forests.
