Emergency Services and Emergency Management Team of Lumpkin County

Our Emergency Services and Emergency Management team members are working to provide not only service to our community, but to our region as well! The state of Georgia is divided into Emergency Medical Service regions, and we have three staff members who serve on our assigned regional commission – Emergency Services Chief/Emergency Management Director David Wimpy, Emergency Management Deputy Director Lorraine Morris, and now, EMS Division Chief James Lord has also been newly appointed to serve on our Regional Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. Regional meetings are held quarterly and range in content from cardiac, stroke, and trauma systems of care, best practices, updates from various state partners, and information on grants and funding opportunities. Good work to our staff members who participate on the regional council – we are grateful for your efforts on our behalf!
