UNG women’s cross country team opens 2022 season Sept. 9 in Gainesville

DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia women’s cross country team has announced the schedule for their 2022 season. The Nighthawks will participate in five regular season races before running in the Peach Belt Conference Championship in November.
North Georgia opens up the year by hosting the 10th annual UNG XC Invitational at the UNG Cross Country Course in Gainesville, Ga., on September 9th. After a week off, they will head to Carrollton, Ga., on September 24th for the Coach Gary Wilson Invitational.
The following week the Nighthawks will travel to North Carolina to run in the Queens Royal Challenge. The race will be in Charlotte, N.C., the NCAA D-II Southeast Regional host site.
The final two regular season appearances will begin with a return to the state of Georgia with the Berry Invitational on October 15th, followed by a trip to Alabama for the UAH Charger Invitational hosted by the Alabama-Huntsville.
The Peach Belt Conference Championships will be held in Beech Island, S.C., and Augusta will host the event.
