Heroes Among Us!

We are incredibly proud to recognize Bus Driver Clay Wimpy and LCHS/LCMS students Luke Ball and Jake Hendrix for their quick thinking and bravery that saved the life of a 72-year-old man trapped beneath his lawnmower.

At last Monday’s Board of Education meeting, Transportation Director Lynn White presented them with the Lumpkin County Schools Good Samaritan Award for their selfless actions.

Thank you, Clay, Luke, and Jake, for showing what it means to be part of the Lumpkin County family—where courage, compassion, and community shine bright!
