Little Mountain Road Reopens
In mid-July, a section of Little Mountain Road was closed for a bridge replacement. Today, paving will be completed and the road will be open by 6p.m. There will still be some clean-up and shoulder stabilization work to be done, so please use caution when traveling in the area, especially when contractors are present.

I’m happy to see that there are improvements being made to Lumpkin county’s roads in some fashion. I have a complaint as to why hasn’t the county addressed the serious problem of a very dangerous, narrow road which has at least 70 houses on the two mile stretch of road with a large amount of traffic? The name of the road is, Grindle Bridge road located near the White county line. The county needs to use their funds to improve the infrastructure of the county first and foremost. I hope the county commissioners actually do something to improve the matter!
