LUMPKIN COUNTY Ga. — On Aug. 2, the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant with the assistance of Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office and Georgia Department of Corrections K9 unit at an address off of Summerour Rd.

This Search Warrant was based upon an investigation that had been occurring over multiple months. During the search investigators located approximately 1,600 grams of methamphetamine. Jonathan Michael Whitehead a 25-year-old Lumpkin County Resident, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine.
