4th of July Events

Community

Looking for the perfect location to celebrate 4th of July with your family and friends? Pack up your lawn chairs and blankets and head on up to Dahlonega, only an hour’s drive north of Atlanta, for a full day of exciting activities and events that the entire family will enjoy!

Visitors will be moved by the powerful visual of more than 700 memorial markers and American flags that are displayed along the major roadways and corridors leading into Dahlonega and around the Historic Downtown Square, honoring the brave veterans who fought to protect our freedom. A Patriotic Ceremony will be held in Hancock Park at 9:30 am to celebrate our nation’s independence.

The fun-filled day will kick off with the Firecracker 5K followed by our famous 4th of July Parade. But, the family festivities don’t stop there! Hancock Park will be filled with tons of activities for everyone, including an All American Market, the Car Show presented by Dahlonega Car Club, a thrilling Adventure Zone, presented by Windstream, for children and adults of all ages, and our famous fireworks display brought to you by the University of North Georgia and the Cottrell Foundation!

We hope to see you there!
