4-H Director Jailed on Child Pornography Charge

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – A joint investigation conducted by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and University of Georgia Police led to the Wednesday arrest of the director of the Lumpkin County 4-H Center on a charge of possession of child pornography.
Paul Travis Williams, 48, was arrested in Dahlonega following a month-long investigation.
4-H is part of the UGA Extension in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
Deputies with the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the Lumpkin County 4-H Center based on a cyber tip showing that suspected child pornography had been uploaded from a location inside the camp. The search included 17 Cloverleaf Trail, the residence of the Director of the 4-H Center.
The search produced a hard drive that contained one of the uploaded images of suspected child pornography
Authorities say the investigation is continuing.
