Road Work Ahead in Lumpkin County

PRESS RELEASE- Lots of improvements are underway to keep you moving safely — here’s a quick roundup (all projects are weather dependent):

Morrison Moore Pkwy: GDOT milling/resurfacing from near Walmart up to the reservoir bridge — current.
May 27: SR 60 milling/resurfacing from Seven Mile Hill Rd to Dahlonega.
East Main & North Grove: Next up after Seven Mile Hill area work — milling/resurfacing from Walmart light across East Main to the roundabout on North Grove.
Hwy 400: Milling/resurfacing project begins after May 27 from the Hwy 400/60 intersection into Dawsonville, both north and south bound.
May 30: Groundbreaking for new roundabout at Auraria Rd & Burnt Stand Rd!
Town Creek Church Rd: Curve widening wraps up in ~30 days.
SR400/SR60 Intersection: Lane widening and new turn lane on track — lane building and paving starts after July 1.
