LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. – Ian Joseph Almeida, 30, of 52 Joyce Lane in Dahlonega, was arrested Friday (June 12) after his girlfriend reported that he beat her and held her against her will when she broke up with him.

Alyssa Arlene Goodman, 22, told Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies when she told Almeida she wanted nothing more to do with him, he wrestled their car keys away from her, punched her in the face and kneed her in the face several times. According to the incident report, when she attempted to run through the door, she wound up on her stomach with him pulling her back into the room

At least one unidentified witness saw Almeida dragging her back inside and filmed that part of the incident.  Almeida left the scene before deputies arrived. He was arrested on a warrant charging him with battery, false imprisonment and criminal trespass.
