Dahlonega woman charged with aggravated assault

LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — A 30-year-old Daholenega woman was arrested last week on charges that she assaulted her mother at a residnce on Hwy. 52 in Lumpkin County.
Tiffany Dunagan is charged with aggravated assault, battery-family violence and cruelty to children.
According the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Dunagan punched her mother, Juli Dunagan, in the face twice and slapped one of the juveniles present in the face before fleeing the residence
Juli Dunagan told authorities she believed her daughter was under the influence of alcohol or possibly methamphetamine.
Dunagan was arrested at the Adam Circle Apartments in Lumpkin County.

Dahlonega man charged with battery
News July 7, 2020LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 50-year-old Dahlonega man on a charge of simple battery following a domestic violence incident on Crown Mountain Drive last week.
Gregorio Robles was transported to the Lumpkin County Detention Center after he allegedly struck his wife with a mop handle and sprayed her in the face with insect spray during an argument.
Emily Lima, 38, said her husband became angry and jealous during the argument and struck her in the leg with the mop handle. Deputies observed and photographed a large red mark on her leg and, after hearing some inconsistencies in Robles account of the incident, handcuffed him and transported him to the detention center.

News June 23, 2020LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — Donnie McKinzie, 42, faces charges of felony aggravated assault and battery in Lumpkin County and DUI in Dawson County following a domestic violence incident June 15.
McKinzie’s girlfriend Priscella Roper, 41, told Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies that McKinzie had been drinking all day and became violent, punching her in the face and threatening to stab her. She tried to escape into her mother’s room but he followed her and punched her 62-year-old mother in the face.
She said he had outstanding warrants and fled in a tan Chevrolet pickup truck before deputies arrived. Deputies issued a BOLO and deputies with Dawson County Sheriff’s Office stopped McKinzie and transported him to the Dawson County Detention Center.

Dahlonega man arrested for aggravated assault

LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. – Randall Thomas Hanley, 38, of Dahlonega was arrested last week on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, battery, false imprisonment and criminal trespass following a domestic violence incident on Rock Garden Place.
According to the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Hillary Lisa Watson, 32, said when she returned home, Hanley became verbally abusive, punching her in the face, grabbing her by the throat and throwing her to the ground.
Watson said when she saw an opportunity to escape, she ran to her car and drove away. When Lumpkin County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, there were visible signs of an altercation, including blood on the bed. When deputies contacted Watson she returned to the scene and deputies observed a bloody lip and bruises on her arms.
Deputies handcuffed Hanley and transported him to the Lumpkin County Detention Center.

Lee arrested for battery, cruelty to children
News June 2, 2020LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. – Christopher DeWayne Lee, 34 of Dahlonega, has been charged with third degree cruelty to children and battery –family violence following a domestic incident on Ben Higgins Road Saturday (May 28).
According to an incident report by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, the victim, Tesha May Robertson, 28, returned home from work to find Lee intoxicated. Robertson stated that Lee began calling her names and when she asked him to stop, he slapped her on the ear, pushed her onto the bed and bit her. The report states there were visible signs of both.
The cruelty to children charge stems from the fact that a juvenile witnessed the incident.
The report further states that Lee was heavily intoxicated and gave contradictory statements to deputies. He first stated he had not bit Robertson, but later admitted he did. Deputies handcuffed him and took him to the Lumpkin County Detention Center.
